Heard about the cpd23 project from my colleagues and decided to give it a go. Haven't participated in any employer-funded training in such a long time (due to the same financial cut-backs that we are all suffering from) - so this seemed like such a good idea! Already, with Task 1, it's forced me to re-visit my dormant blog site (and remove my old posts). I'll also read the recommended article about blogging - because I'm definately one of those people who feel the whole idea is rather conceited.
At this point in my career I am 'job-sharing' (not strictly true - 'cos he's got 26hrs & I've got 18) the role of 'Care Sciences' Information Librarian. One day, I would love to manage the whole caboodle, or another caboodle, given the opportunity - but opportunities are rare and I count myself lucky that I've got a job I love doing (even if it is part-time).
On the personal front, I moved to the coast at the end of January. I'm very happy, although I do miss our lovely old cottage in the valley - but it's great to be near the sea - and when I catch the train to work I can gaze out at ships in the Bristol Channel and I often glimpse Minehead, on the other side. Really sets me up for the day - just lovely!
